Randy Moss was traded to the Oakland Raiders for linebacker Napoleon Harris, a 7th pick, and a 7th round pick. It could be good for the Vikings, but it's bad for me. Now Minnesota is a mediocre team without an entertaining superstar.
Are you kidding? Burleson??? Yeah, he's a good receiver, but Moss was a great receiver. Cleveland has good receivers....can you name any? Exactly. Burleson is not a #1 guy. This is a fact. Indy is not even a close comparison. They have 2 dynamic WR's in Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison, both would be getting 90 catches in most offenses. Plus they have guys like Stokely and Walters, both good receivers. Indy's offense and Minny's offense are not in the same league. And actually we have a couple solid RB's......
And yes, mediocre. 9-7, 8-8. That is mediocre. Good teams win 10 games, great teams win 12 or 13. Bad teams fewer than 6 wins. That leaves MN as mediocre.
the vikes did not get enough from this trade. How many napolean harris jerseys will be at the dome next year? The vikes need to strike gold at #7 AND #18 if they have any hope of making the playoffs. And with their 7th round pick....I hope that guy gets picked up in Arena league eventually.
