Marye and I went to a Timberwolves versus Phoenix Suns game last night. As you may know, Phoenix is a very exciting team to watch. Marion, Nash, Stoudemire, Richardson, Johnson, Jackson. The Wolves got throttled. Each team reached 60 points. Unfortunately, the Suns' total score at halftime was 60 and the Wolves total score at the end of the third quarter was 60. At one point during the third quarter the score was 95-55. That's right. Throttled. Steve Nash is a great point guard. Great assists and skanky running fifteen footers off one leg. Phoenix is flash lighting. There were a lot of dunks and a lot of threes. I don't quite know what to say about the Wolves. They were completely enervated.

The wolves problem is too much thug, not enough skank. We had skank when mad dog was around, but since he is injured, our skank is gone. Plus, that was just skank off the bench, not in the starting line-up. Thug should only be used in small quantities (Phoenix likes to apply it in the form of quentin richardson and sometimes amare stoudamire). Minnesota seems to think thug is an adequate replacement for skank, as evidenced by the many minutes received by spree, kandi, and eddie griffin. We need skank, and we need it now. The key to last year's playoffs was not KG, it was Darrick Martin- and he was skank. Martin is now applying his skank to the clippers, who are 22-23, which is very good for the clips. Minnesota is 24-22......which is very good for the clippers.
The point: you can't have success without skank.
